Because our Second Amendment rights in New Mexico are the cornerstone of our freedom and an important component of our culture, there are a variety of groups that share our values and help in the fight to keep our freedom.
The New Mexico Shooting Sports Association promotes social welfare and public safety, law and order, and the national defense; educates and trains citizens of good repute in the safe and efficient handling of small arms, and in the technique of design, production, and group instruction; works to increase the knowledge of small arms and promote efficiency in the use of such arms on the part of members of law enforcement agencies, of the armed forces and of citizens who would be subject to service in the event of war; and encourages the lawful ownership and use of small arms by citizens of good repute.
New Mexico Gun Owners Association is a no-compromise gun rights advocacy and activist group. They primarily work on gun rights issues in New Mexico and seek to provide a way for New Mexicans to be more proactive in defending their constitutional rights.
Pro-Gun Women works to make sure the voices of women gun owners are heard when it comes to gun laws in our state. They advocate for responsible ownership and gun rights on behalf of New Mexico gun owners. They primarily focus on the importance of female firearm ownership for self-defense.
The New Mexico Sheriffs' Association is a professional and educational organization dedicated to the peace and protection of the lives and property of the citizens of New Mexico. They provide education, professional assistance, and unity to best serve and protect the people of New Mexico and helped lead the Sanctuary County effort.
The Albuquerque Police Officers Association works to promote and develop a friendly, secure, and fraternal spirit among all members. They act as a collective bargaining agent on behalf of all members in matters of policy, salaries, hours of employment, working conditions, and all other matters relating to the general welfare of its members, including speaking out against ineffective and dangerous gun control legislation. It operates under the laws of the State of New Mexico and the Constitution of the United States of America.
